Born in Tennessee, Sara spent the first part of her life traveling the east coast as a navy brat.  Her love of reading started in the fifth grade, when her teacher read Clan of the Cave Bear to the class.  The story so enchanted her, she finagled a way to get to the bookstore and buy the book at the beginning of the Christmas holidays.  Before the two week vacation was over she’d finished the book and started on the sequel.

As the years progressed she read many genres and started writing stories of her own.  She didn’t believe it could be any more than a random pastime, until she met the woman that would become her mentor and best friend, Laura Kitchell.

Filled with encouragement she joined Romance Writers of America and Chesapeake Romance Writers and began writing in earnest.  It took a year to finish the rough draft and a little over two years to polish.  Now in 2009 it looks as though Sara’s first novel Creatures of the Moon is on the road to being published.
