Back from the Conference

I just came back from the Romance Writers of America national conference.  I learned so much.  One of the best workshops I attended was by Donald Maass.  He has a book called Fire in Fiction.  The little writing assignments he had us do came from that book, and they were simply amazing.  They changed the way I write.  Of course I bought the book the moment I got home, I’m already on the fourth chapter.

Met and got the autographs of several of my favorite authors.  Including Brenda Novak, Janet Evanovich, and Nora Roberts.  I also met many new and wonderful people, writers working on their craft and trying to break in, just like me.  Everyone was so welcoming, like old friends.

I'm going to be published!

As I mentioned, A Prince's Tail has been acquired by MS Fiction.  I signed the contract just this past week.  They are hoping to release it in September 2009.  This is my first time being published so everything is new and exciting.  I will be posting the cover as soon as I get it, and of course a link for purchase.
